We use this opportunity to let you know how good the dark chocolate is and because of that it is very useful for decreasing high blood pressure. It is necessary to eat two cubes of dark chocolate per day, in order to reduce high blood pressure.


It is already known that chocolate in small quantities is healthy, but until now it wasn’t known that the dark chocolate which is rich with cocoa, low in sugar and fat, is able to reduce the increased blood pressure. In fact it is a very important discovery for many reasons, just to remind you that we speak about very delicious and affordable food that is very beneficial for our health. We know that high blood pressure is also known as silent killer, and because of this fact the consumption of dark chocolate is more important for our body.

This discovery is based on the research conducted on a group of 44 people from 56 to 73 years of age, among whom there were 20 men and 24 women, in period from January 2005 until December 2006. The participants were divided into two groups. The first group was consuming two cubes or 6.3grams of dark chocolate which contains 30 milligrams of polyphones, every day for period of 18 weeks.  The other group was consuming the same quantity of white chocolate which doesn’t contain polyphones. Polyphone is a substance which is very strong antioxidant that can be found in many plants and fruits, such as grapes and is able to tilt the artery and the pressure in them.

At the end of the research, the scientists have made conclusion that the people who consumed dark chocolate had significantly lower blood pressure without any changes in body weight and blood count, respectively increased glucose and lipid levels. The blood pressure hasn’t been changed in the group that consumed white chocolate without polyphenol.
