WARNING: THIS SOAP CAUSES BREAST CANCER!

Where other brands like L’Oréal or Neutrogena for example, use outrageously beautiful celebrities to flaunt the alleged benefits of their products, Dove uses “regular people” who portray an array of everyday issues real people deal with such as low self-esteem and/or weight.

They also parade a variety of women of different cultures, ethnicities, sizes and ages across their seemingly “organic” marketing platforms. Dove further claims their beauty products are essentially “pure” and contain no extra additives like many of their competitor’s products.

If we are to believe their claims, this “whole package” is what “Real Beauty” looks like, which just happens to be their latest slogan.

Dove’s Beauty Message
“We believe beauty should be a source of confidence, and not anxiety. That’s why we are here to help women everywhere develop a positive relationship with the way they look, helping them raise their self-esteem and realize their full potential.”

Dove further pushes our insecurity buttons by stating: “Only 4 percent of women around the world consider themselves beautiful, and anxiety about appearance begins at an early age.”

While their statistics may be real, especially since Dove actually sponsored the Real Girls, Real Pressure: A National Report on the State of Self-Esteem, it certainly doesn’t hurt the company’s bottom line is that these numbers also parlay into an incredibly vast marketing pool for their allegedly “empowering” beauty products.

Do young girls and women have self-esteem issues? Absolutely! Is the general message Dove sends a good one? Yes. Every woman (and man) deserves to feel beautiful, and let’s face it, if we all realized our “”true potential,” life in general would be better for everyone.

But Dove is not being entirely honest. How can they be? If they were, no one would buy their products! Like most commercial beauty products, no matter how “pure” or even “natural” they claim to be, Dove beauty products are still a cocktail of toxic chemicals that researchers know cause everything from simple allergies and obesity to more serious issues such as infertility and even cancer.

So, Where Is The Disconnect?
The real disconnect between Dove’s messaging and their actual beauty and skin care products is in their ingredients. In short, the often highly toxic and definitely dangerous chemicals found in Dove products (made by Unilever) stand contrary to the message Dove pedals to consumers.

These chemicals can lead to an array of serious diseases that can ultimately leave a woman (or man since Dove also has a booming men’s line) helpless and even worse off than before she/he used them.

While ultimately the decision to use such chemicals in the manufacturing process is an individual one, certainly, whether or not a company publically reveals or explains the possible dangers associated with their use is also an option. The FDA, by its own admission, does not have any jurisdiction over these products and “their ingredients are not subject to FDA premarket approval.”

The organization further admits that, “cosmetic companies may use almost any ingredient they choose,” and the agency lacks the authority to recall products, even if deemed unsafe. And what’s worse, many of these chemicals have never been safety tested according to the Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR), so consumers are essentially unwitting guinea pigs.

This actually makes Dove one of the worst offenders, simply because it so openly plays on women’s insecurities, which the company admits have reached epidemic proportions. Dove lures women in, like lambs to the slaughter, with promises of “finally fitting in,” finally being able to “be their true selves,” to be recognized for their “real beauty.” Meanwhile, these same women have no idea Dove’s products are linked to an array of negative health issues, and at a minimum, questionable, if not downright dangerous.

For Dove products overall, the Environmental Working Group (EWG), a non-profit group dedicated to bringing transparency to consumer beauty and personal care products, rates them between a 3 and 8 on a sliding hazard scale of 0-10—10 being the most dangerous health risk to humans, animals and/or the environment, depending on the product.

The EWG claims many of the chemicals listed in Dove products also often contain other contaminants that are much worse than the primary chemicals listed. They further list a high concern for skin, eye, or lung irritation, as well as other miscellaneous issues that put the consumer at high risk for a variety of health issues.

The EWG study, called Skin Deep, also claims there is a concern for “cancers from multiple additive exposure sources, organ system toxicity (non-reproductive), occupational hazards, persistence, and bioaccumulation.”

While not as high on their degree of concern, the EWG does also list “enhanced skin absorption, biochemical or cellular level changes, data gaps in their reporting and, ecotoxicology, endocrine disruption and neurotoxicity from particular chemicals in these products.” Not exactly something that instills confidence in anyone, let alone Dove’s target market, those women who already feel insecure about themselves and how they look.

Dove Products Deconstructed
White Beauty Bar
This is the foundation product that launched the Dove line in the 1950s. According to Dove’s website, “This gentle cleansing formula contains ¼ moisturizing cream to give you softer, smoother, more radiant looking skin vs. ordinary soap.”

It further states this soap is:

#1 Dermatologist Recommended
Classic moisturizing formula
Dove doesn’t dry skin like ordinary soap can
With ¼ moisturizing cream and mild cleansers, Dove White Beauty Bar helps retain skin’s moisture
Leaves skin softer, smoother and more radiant looking vs. ordinary soap
Suitable for daily use on face, body and hands

However, a quick look at the ingredients tells you that it contains:

Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate
Stearic Acid
Sodium Tallowate Or Sodium Palmitate
Lauric Acid
Sodium Isethionate
Sodium Stearate
Cocamidopropyl Betaine
Sodium Cocoate Or Sodium Palm Kernelate
Fragrance
Sodium Chloride
Tetrasodium Edta
Tetrasodium Etidronate
Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891)
For starters, even at a quick glance, it’s clear this product does, in fact, contain chemical additives, contrary to its “pure” messaging.

Here are just some examples of what these chemicals and others found in Dove products actually do to your body.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine

Cocamidopropyl betaine is a synthetic surfactant (sudsing agent) associated with irritation and allergic contact dermatitis, reactions that can be due to the ingredient itself or to impurities in it, such as 3-dimethylaminopropylamine. According to the EWG, cocamidopropyl betaine is often contaminated with nitrosamines, another chemical recognized by a minimum of five agencies as being a “possible carcinogen” and/or linked to strong evidence of causing cancer).

Fragrance

Instead of actually listing the chemicals that comprise a particular “fragrance” in a product, cosmetic and personal care manufacturers simply list the word “fragrance” or “perfume.” Since the law does not currently require a detailed list of what makes up a fragrance, a product can contain any number of undisclosed scent chemicals and ingredients.

One such chemical is diethyl phthalate, which according to the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), is a colorless synthetic liquid commonly used to make plastics more flexible. Things like toothbrushes, car parts, children’s toys, tools and food packaging typically use this chemical. The

ATSDR states “Diethyl phthalate can be released fairly easily from these products, as it is not part of the chain of chemicals (polymers) that makes up the plastic. Diethyl phthalate is also used in cosmetics, insecticides, and aspirin.”

In general, according to research, “fragrances” cause everything from allergies, dermatitis and respiratory issues, to cancer and they can even disrupt your reproductive system. According to EWG, these chemical mixes rate an “8” on the health hazard scale.

The EWG tested and lists 184 Dove products with potentially harmful fragrances, including Dove White Beauty Bar, Dove Creme Mousse Nourishing Body Wash, Dove Hair Therapy Nourishing Oil Care Anti-Frizz Serum, all of their antiperspirants, Dove go fresh Beauty Bar, Revive, and a slew of men’s personal care products.

Methylisothiazolinone
Methylisothiazolinone is a widely-used preservative. According to numerous studies. it can cause an array of allergic reactions. Other studies suggest this chemical, which is restricted by the European Union (EU), Canada, Japan, and Germany, may be neurotoxic. The EWG rates it overall as a “7” on their health risk scale.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), methylisothiazolinone is a pesticide used “…to control slime-forming bacteria, fungi, and algae.” The EPA’s safety sheet states: “In studies using laboratory animals, methylisothiazolinone has been shown to be of moderate acute toxicity by the oral and inhalation routes. It is highly acutely toxic when applied dermally or to the eye and is considered to be corrosive.”

Eighty Dove products, ranging from shampoos and conditioners to body washes and exfoliates, contain this chemical, including Dove Hair Therapy Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo, Dove Nutritive Solutions Cool Moisture Shampoo, Cucumber & Green Tea, and Dove Creme Mousse Nourishing Body Wash.

Retinyl Palmitate
This chemical rates “9” on the EWG health hazard scale (18). Retinyl palmitate contains palmitic acid and retinol (Vitamin A). Typically, retinol, a pure form of vitamin A, is highly beneficial for your skin. It helps to stimulate collagen production, increase cellular rejuvenation, and decrease pore size, thereby creating softer, smoother skin.

Vitamin A is also well known for its amazing effects on eyesight and a number of other health issues, but according to the FDA, “retinyl palmitate [a chemical version of retinol] when applied to the skin in the presence of sunlight, may speed the development of skin tumors and cancerous lesions.”

The EPA also lists retinyl palmitate as a “known human reproductive toxicant,” while the EWG further adds this chemical causes “biochemical or cellular level changes.”

Bottom line, Germany, and Canada currently ban or restrict the use of retinyl palmitate because of its proven toxicity. In the US, however, Dove’s Fresh Radiance Anti-Aging Moisturizer still contains this nasty toxin.

Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex Gly
In 1886, scientists discovered that compounds of aluminum are actually neurotoxic, capable of causing brain damage. Despite this, we continue to use it today as an antiperspirant in most deodorants. Growing evidence shows long-term use can lead to a number of neurological diseases, including dementia, autism, and Parkinson’s disease.

A 2014 study published in the Journal of Medical Case Reports further links aluminum use to Alzheimer’s disease. A controversial documentary, The Age of Aluminum, details the “dark side” of aluminum, calling it a “toxic metal” linked to diseases like breast cancer, Alzheimer’s, allergies and autism.

Currently, according to the EWG, 44 Dove products contain this chemical, including Dove Clinical Protection Antiperspirant Deodorant, Skin Renew, Dove Antiperspirant Deodorant, Original Clean and Dove go fresh Antiperspirant Deodorant, Cool Essentials.

DMDM Hydantoin (Formaldehyde Releaser)
According to EWG studies, “DMDM hydantoin is an antimicrobial ‘formaldehyde releaser’ preservative. People exposed to such formaldehyde-releasing ingredients may develop a formaldehyde allergy or an allergy to the ingredient itself and its decomposition products. In the U.S., approximately 20 percent of cosmetics and personal care products contain a formaldehyde-releaser and the frequency of contact allergy to these ingredients is much higher among Americans compared to studies in Europe.”

This chemical is so disruptive, in fact, it was even named the “2015 Allergen of the Year” by the American Contact Dermatitis Society.

Most manufacturers essentially stopped using formaldehyde as a “direct” ingredient in their products because of its highly toxic nature and restricted use in most countries. Instead, they mask it by using “formaldehyde releasers” like DMDM hydantoin and imidazolindinyl urea, which slowly release formaldehyde as they decompose in the product. These chemicals work just like formaldehyde and are just as toxic.

Manufacturers use them as antimicrobial/antifungal preservatives, but because they are not a “direct ingredient,” they don’t have to list them. DMDM hydantoin is a potent immune toxicant currently restricted in some types of Japanese cosmetics.

According to the United States National Toxicology Program and the International Agency for Research on Cancer, these chemicals are powerful carcinogens and linked to leukemia when inhaled, ingested or absorbed through your skin.

EWG studies show 94 Dove products contain formaldehyde releasers including Dove Creme Mousee Nourishing Body Wash, Dove Go Fresh Therapy Cool Moisture Shampoo, Cucumber & Green Tea, Dove STYLE+care Frizz-Free Shine Cream-Serum, and Dove Fresh Radiance Anti-Aging Moisturizer, Normal/Dry Skin, SPF 15 (2015 formulation).

Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals
Dove products also contain endocrine disrupting chemicals. Essentially, any humans and wildlife (typically exposed second hand) to these synthetic chemicals can eyepiece hormone-like effects that interfere with your endocrine system in two ways:

They mimic natural hormones like estrogen and they block the activity of your natural hormones.
The Endocrine Society issued a study that details the many dangerous effects these chemicals can have on your body, including on both “male and female reproduction, breast development [in both males and females], prostate cancer, neuroendocrinology, thyroid, metabolism and obesity, and cardiovascular endocrinology.”

A study published in the International Journal of Andrology made headlines when it revealed that exposure to these endocrine disruptors is “feminizing boys.”

Bottom Line
This is just a sampling of the dangerous chemicals in Dove products. The EWG shows that 39 products also contain PPG-14 butyl ether, a known carcinogen and endocrine disruptor. And despite the countless studies showing the dangers of BHT, 71 Dove products still contain this chemical known to cause cellular death and cancer just to name a fraction of its destructiveness.

The list of chemicals in Dove products is overwhelming. Currently, the EWG lists a whopping 215 different chemicals in their products that range from highly toxic to tolerable and innocuous.

Dove (Unilever) is currently the world’s largest beauty products manufacturer with sales close to $4 million in 2014 alone, a good share of the $19 billion a year the parent company brings in worldwide. This number is expected to jump to $87 billion by 2020.

Keeping in line with the Dove marketing mantra, Unilever states, “On any given day, 2 billion people use Unilever products to look good, feel good and get more out of life—giving us a unique opportunity to build a brighter future.”

Right now, Dove markets their “real beauty” brands in over 80 countries, telling countless young girls and women (and men) to feel more confident about their looks. Arguably, this behemoth in the beauty industry is like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, doing more long-term damage than any real good to the average consumer through its array of toxic products.

According to certain statistics from the American Academy of Ophthalmology, there are as many as 24.4 million individuals above the age of 40 who have cataracts. And this only in the USA! Anyone would love to know how to naturally remove a cataract, right?
That’s why we’d like to show you an alternative treatment, in which you’ll learn to do just that! Are you ready to know what it is? Read on and you will.

Some Basic Information

Even though cataracts are most commonly a health issue among the elderly, in recent times more and more young individuals are being diagnosed with this condition. This is all “thanks” to their improper daily diets and overall unhealthy lifestyle, such as smoking, for instance.

The main two reasons for this degenerative eye condition are free radical damage and oxidative damage. It is the clouding in one’s eye which results in poor and foggy vision, particularly at night. There may even be some cases where cataracts lead to blindness over time.

Scientists explain that the risk of cataracts is heightened by insufficient levels of antioxidants. The good news in all of this is that one can either delay or completely avoid cataract surgery by maintaining their glutathione levels high. This is the most crucial antioxidant in our bodies.

The math here is simple: any food which is high in antioxidants can help us naturally treat and avoid cataracts, as well as any other vision problems.

How to Remove Cataracts Without Surgical Procedures

One ingredient happens to be castor oil. It has many uses other than helping eliminate cataracts. It can also treat farsightedness and nearsightedness, dry eyes, conjunctivitis and even macular degeneration related to age.

Once one realizes that the main reason for most eye problems is oxidation, one would know the best way to prevent such problems from ever occurring in the first place is to reach out towards antioxidant-abundant foods.

Practitioners of holistic health are well aware of this. They have been using castor oil (which is rich in antioxidants) to reverse cataracts, improve vision, and much more. But you need to be extra cautious not to use the wrong kind, which may have adverse effects on your eyes and health.

And What Is The Right Type?

The 100% pure, organic, hexane-free, cold-pressed castor oil is your best option. Make sure to obtain it from a reliable source. It should come in a dark glass bottle with a drop applicator already included.

When and How to Use Castor Oil

There’s no philosophy here. Simply add one drop of this organic, pure castor oil directly into the affected eye. You should do this once a day, and the best period is before going to bed, as castor oil may make your vision slightly blurry. Apply the oil, close your eyes and let it work its magic while you sleep.

And if you find crusts at the corners of your eyes the following morning, don’t panic. This is due to the calcification process and is completely normal. Simply wash your eyes with clean, warm water.

Conclusion

There are plenty of those who have already tried this method. Most of them claim to have witnessed results even after just one application. Others claimed their vision kept getting better and better each time.

Some claim their vision was restored within just a few weeks; others claim it took them three months. It’s a rather individual thing, depending on your specific eye condition.

Try doing this three nights in a row. If by the end of this period there is no result, simply stop. Castor oil is harmless, but it may not suit the issue you are currently having concerning your eyes.

Whatever You do, dear readers, always take good care of your eye health, and overall health in general. We wish you success with this natural holistic treatment.

These Are The Symptoms Of Vitamin B12 Deficiency In The Body

When we speak of vitamin B12 we refer to that vitamin that is essential for the proper functioning of the nervous system. In this sense, deficiency of this vitamin in the body can cause serious problems, mainly at the brain level.

The problem is that it is a nutrient that we must incorporate in an artificial way to the body because we can not produce it naturally.

Thus, it is essential to incorporate foods with vitamin B12 to enjoy good health at the brain level.

Many people do not know they are deficient in this vitamin since the signs can be mistaken for other organic problems.

That is why today we want to talk to you about the main symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency.

This information can be very useful!

When we speak of vitamin B12 we refer to that vitamin that is essential for the proper functioning of the nervous system. These are the symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency in the body

According to a recent survey, 40% of the US population suffers from vitamin B12 deficiency.

Also, there is a close relationship between the deficiency of this vitamin and the diagnosis of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.

So that you can treat the disease in time, in this article we want to talk about the main symptoms caused by the deficiency of this vitamin in the body.

Here are the main symptoms and explain why it is important to treat it in time.

Symptoms of lack of vitamin B12

These are the main symptoms that are present when you lack this vitamin:

–Chronic Fatigue
-Sudden mood swings
-Lack of motivation
–Anemia
-Numbness and tingling in the extremities
–Blurry vision
-Muscular weakness
-Hallucinations and paranoia
-Swelling of the tongue
-Difficulty walking and body movements
-Yellowish skin
–Depression

If you notice two or more of these symptoms, it is very important that you visit a doctor to have a proper diagnosis.

How to check the deficiency of this vitamin in the body

When you go to a doctor asked about the symptoms you are suffering, he will surely do some tests.

The most effective method is the B12 intracellular test.

In other cases the tests of methylmalonic acid and homocysteine are used. Although not as accurate, they can also serve.

Problems related to the deficiency of this vitamin

The causes of deficiency of this vitamin can vary remarkably.

However, there are certain factors that show a relationship with it.

Here are the main problems related to vitamin B12 deficiency so you can be alert.

Permeable Intestine Syndrome

When a person suffers from Permeable Intestine Syndrome, waste and other molecules enter directly into the bloodstream.

That leads to over stimulation of the immune system and problems to absorb vitamin B12.

Pernicious anemia

People who suffer from this disease generate cells that attack the stomach.

In doing so, the stomach is not able to produce gastric acids or a protein called Intrinsic Factor.

Thus, because our body is not able to produce hydrochloric acid, the digestive system is not able to separate the B12 vitamins from the rest of the molecules.

In general this problem is often associated with vegetarianism.

Medicines for stomach acidity

Another related problem is the consumption of medicines for heartburn.

This is because these medications can cause a reduction of the parietal cells that are responsible for absorbing the vitamins.

For this reason, you should keep in mind that it is always important to find the causes of acidity.

Try not to relieve it with synthetic medications as this can lead to severe problems.

5 Reasons Why You Should Eat Cucumbers Everyday

Cucumbers are extremely beneficial for overall health, especially during the summer since they are mostly made of water and important nutrients that are essential for the human body. The flesh of cucumbers is rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, and folic acid while the hard skin of cucumbers is rich in fiber and a range of minerals include magnesium, molybdenum, and potassium. Many cucumber varieties are also grown in greenhouses; they are seedless and have thinner skins and longer lengths, usually between 12 and 20 inches. Often known as “burpless”, this variety of cucumbers is bought by majority, since it is easier to digest than the other kinds of cucumbers.

Health Benefits of Cucumbers

It is still unknown when cucumbers began to be used for pickling, but researchers have speculated that the gherkin variety of cucumber was developed from a native African plant. Spain was one of the countries during ancient times that started pickling cucumbers, since Roman emperors imported them from this Mediterranean country.

Cucumbers are very sensitive to heat, so try to select the ones which are displayed in the refrigerated cases in the store. Look for firm cucumbers and check if the color is bright medium green to dark green. Avoid the yellow, puffy cucumbers that have sunken water-soaked areas or wrinkled tips. You will find less seeds in the thinner cucumbers.

If you store the cucumbers in the refrigerator, they will retain their freshness for a longer time. If the entire cucumber is not used in one meal, then wrap the remainder tightly in plastic or place it in a closed container so that it does not get dried out. Try to eat cucumbers within one or two days of buying them, or else they will become limp, especially if kept for more than a week.

Cucumbers can be cut into various shapes and sizes, and can be sliced, diced or cut into sticks. Cucumber seeds are edible and very nutritious, bur some people prefer not to eat them. You can cut the cucumber lengthwise and use the tip of a spoon to gently scoop the seeds accordingly. Cucumbers are commonly used in a number of recipes. You can use half-inch thick cucumber slices and serve them with chopped vegetable salads. Cut the cucumber into a diced shape, mix them with sugar snap peas, mint leaves and then pour rice wine vinaigrette into the mixture. You can also make an excellent purée with cucumbers, tomatoes, green peppers and onions. Finally, add salt and pepper for some extra flavor. Cucumbers similarly give a fresh taste to tuna fish or chicken salad preparations. Cucumbers can be eaten alone in its sliced form, or with a sprinkle of salt or pepper. No matter how you eat it, you are sure to get a whole lot of nutrition from this truly “cool” vegetable.

9. Refreshing appliances

8. Growing sprouts

Lemons can also be used for growing sprouts. Squeeze the juice and put the seeds into the lemon half. Then plant the seedling in the ground together with a lemon pot.

7. Getting rid of shoe odors

Leave fresh citrus peel in your shoes overnight to absorb odors.

6. Making candle holders

Halves of lemon, lime or orange are great, nice-looking materials for making your own unique candle holders. You need to remove the pulp and fill the halves with melted wax. And don’t forget about the candle wick! Glue it to the bottom of your candle holder.

5. Improving your overall health

The combination of lemon juice and baking soda has alkalizing, digestive and depurative properties. It regulates the level of bad cholesterol, purifies the liver, and gives us a good dose of vitamin C. Add a teaspoon of baking soda and juice of half a lemon to a glass of mineral water and drink it in the morning. Every day before your bath or shower, rub your underarms with a thick slice of lemon. Don’t forget to apply some moisturizer after your bath because lemons can also make your skin drier. You’ll see the result after 7 days.

10 Mistakes That Cause Us to Overspend on Food

We visit supermarkets almost every day, yet we rarely think about how some of our shopping habits are downright wrong. However, such seemingly trivial things can be a serious drain on our budget.

To help you, Bright Side has made a list of the most common shopping mistakes. More importantly, you’ll learn how to save on purchases without sacrificing on quality!

10. Shopping for products in the wrong order

We often find it difficult to limit the number of items we buy at supermarkets. But there’s nothing unrealistic about starting to choose more products that are good for our health. If you just can’t resist filling your cart to the brim, try starting your shopping at the vegetable department: greens and vegetables will take up lots of space, so there’ll be less room for the pricey and unhealthy stuff.

9. Not knowing the prices of products you buy regularly

Try to memorize, or even write down, the prices of the products you buy regularly. This will help you not to be fooled by fake sales when the price remains the same yet the price tag screams about a massive reduction. Next time you go to a supermarket, you’ll make fewer unplanned purchases and take better advantage of genuine discounts.

8. Not planning ahead

This concerns not only your shopping lists but your home meal menus for the coming week as well. By preplanning your meals from Monday to Friday, you’ll always know which products to buy to prepare the dishes. This way, you’ll be less likely to make useless purchases.

7. Not paying attention to the weight of the product

Let’s say there are 2 similarly sized packages of butter on the shelf, one of which is slightly cheaper than the other. Don’t rush to buy the one that costs less! To begin with, check the products’ weights. It might turn out that the pricier package weighs more. So, in terms of the price/weight ratio, it’ll make more sense to buy this item as opposed to the cheaper one.

6. Ignoring the store’s own brands

Almost every supermarket sells a variety of goods under its own label. Such foodstuffs cost less than those produced by well-known manufacturers. At the same time, their quality is in no way inferior, and the only difference is in the less colorful packaging. Besides, such products are made by the same factories that service popular brands.

5. Not trying new products

Many of us keep buying products belonging to one single brand, afraid of trying something different. However, manufacturers of new, little-known brands often sell quality goods at significantly lower prices. Don’t be afraid to experiment. This will not only save you money but also help you discover tastier and healthier foods.

4. Not keeping an eye on discounts

There are special apps that collect information on discounts in supermarkets near you. Such programs allow you to compare prices on the same products in different stores to find the best offers.

3. Avoiding inexpensive products

Various cereals, sugar, salt, spices, and other similar products can be bought at very reasonable prices. For instance, ordinary packaged sugar is just as good as the products sold in attractive packaging.

2. Choosing items that are nearest to the front edge of the shelf

To find the freshest products, always look at the back of the shelves. Shop employees are known to reserve the front of the shelves for food with a use-by date that’s about to expire.

1. Falling prey to marketing ploys

Vegetable oil “with vitamin E,“ salt ”without GMOs,” eggs with orange yolks… All of these marketing gimmicks have a good effect on sales. But before you purchase any of these “unique” products, ask yourself if they’re really so exclusive? Vitamin E is present in sunflower seeds, hence it’s sure to be present in sunflower oil as well. On the other hand, GMOs can only be found in foods of plant or animal origin (so this excludes salt by definition). As for the brightly colored yolks — manufacturers achieve this by adding special components to chicken feed.

Cayenne Cream Recipe That Will Soothe Anyone Who Has Sore Muscles Or Stiff Joints!

The ingredients can be probably found in your kitchen. They’re also easily available at any store.

The main ingredient is cayenne and here, we’re going to explain you why!

Why Cayenne Pepper Does Wonders In Case Of Muscle Pain?

Its main ingredient called capsaicin can stimulate the release of “substance P” in our body. This substance is released from the inflammatory cells and the nerve cells of our immune system. Its main role is to stimulate the releasing of various cytokines and help our body to perceive pain and create an inflammatory response.

Cayenne also has the ability to dilate our blood vessels. When we have released substance P during the application of cayenne, that area becomes desensitized in pain.

You feel like the area is less painful than previously. You can start walking or doing some exercise that will help you heal faster than you expected!

Beyond the Cayenne

All of the ingredients this amazing rub contains are amazing for your aching muscles as well as tired body.

  • Ginger has been used in the Traditional Chinese and also in the Ayurvedic Medicine. It acts warming and anti-inflammatory. It can also stimulate our blood flow.
  • Turmeric has also been used since ancient times. It possesses healing and its anti-inflammatory effects. Turmeric can also reduce swelling.
  • Peppermint Essential Oil contains menthol. It’s amazing for sore muscles as it soothes the pain and relaxes them. Peppermint acts similarly like ice. It cools down the inflamed area. It’s excellent when you combine it with all of these ingredients!

This is an amazing combination!

Make sure you also:

  • Rest the area: You must rest if you have something that hurts chronically. It’s very important for the whole process of healing. Lie down or sit, but make sure your legs are up.
  • Drink plenty of water: We need water so that our blood can flow without obstacles. It will also help us reduce inflammation more quickly. Drink at least ½ of your body weight in ounces of water a day. If you have something injured, add another 15-20 ounces.
  • Take Turmeric capsules that will help you reduce and heal arthritis pain. Turmeric capsules 1500 mg/day were proved to have the same effect as NSAIDs in reducing pain in patients with knee osteoarthritis. They don’t cause any side-effects which makes them even better!

Cayenne Pepper Cream for Muscle & Joint Pain:

  • 1 teaspoon of powdered ginger
  • 10 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • ¼ of a cup of coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered turmeric
  • ¼ of a cup of raw cocoa butter (you can also use coconut oil)
  • 2 teaspoons of powdered cayenne
  • ¼ of a cup of grated beeswax so that it could melt better
  • 4 oz. glass jar

Instructions:

Put the beeswax, cocoa butter and coconut oil into a pyrex glass container. This container should be put in a saucepan filled with 2-3 inches of water. The pyrex should be in the water.

Make sure the water starts to simmer. Stir all the time and make sure these three ingredients are melted completely.

Next, add the ginger powder, cayenne and turmeric. Stir well until they are mixed with the other ingredients.

Remove the mixture from the heat. Add the peppermint essential oil.

Transfer the prepared mixture in the glass jar. Leave it to cool down. After it has cooled down, put the lid and shut it tightly. Apply it on your painful area using massage movements!

CAUTION

Always wash your hands after you’ve used this remedy! Cayenne pepper and peppermint are very strong ingredients! Be careful with turmeric, too as it can stain your clothes due to its yellow color. Your skin may also become yellow, so don’t worry!
